Progressive Knockout tournaments, or Progressive KOs, are action-packed tournaments where you can win hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars at any time. For every player you knock out, you get a cash prize and your own bounty increases, all leading to a frantic finish where every hand can result in a lot of money.
For example: Let's assume the bounty is split 50/50 into a cash prize and a progressive bounty. If two players each with a $10 bounty meet and one of them is knocked out, the winning player will receive $5 in cash and $5 will be added to the player's own bounty, which will then be $15.
How much do I win per player I knock out?
Every time you knock out a player, you get a portion of their bounty in cash. Players start with a set bounty and then have a progressive bounty added for each player they knock out of the tournament. The longer you stay in the tournament, the late in the tournament you can win hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars instantly by knocking out a player.
What happens if a player gets knocked out in a multi-way pot?
If more than one player is in a multi-way pot when another player is eliminated, the winner of the pot wins the bounty as long as they are better than the losing player. If the winning player had fewer chips than the eliminated player at the start of the hand, the player who wins the side pot against the eliminated player wins the bounty.
For example: Player 1 has 10,000 chips. Player 2 has 5,000 chips and player 3 has 1,000 chips and all three go all-in pre-flop. Player 1 has KK, player 2 has QQ and player 3 has AA and nothing changes with the cards on the table. In this example, player 3 wins the main pot because he or she has fewer chips than player 2, but the bounty goes to player 1 along with the side pot.
If two players have the same hand in a multi-way pot where one player is knocked out, the bounty is split equally between them.
When will I get the bounties I win?
Instantly. As soon as you knock out a player, their bounty is transferred to your account in cash.
Are the top positions still profitable?
Yes! In addition to the prize you get for knocking out a player, you also get prize money, just like in other tournaments, so you can expect a big sum if you come in one of the best places.
If you win a tournament, you get not only your opponents' bounty, but also your own and the normal prize money, as well as all the bounties you collected by knocking out other players. A large payout awaits the winner of a Progressive KO tournament.
